1 DAY 1 NIGHT
This trip covers a 15km stretch of the Orange River. The afternoon is spent cruising leisurely down the river enjoying the amazing riverine wildlife. Some small rapids can be enjoyed along the way and you can even try your luck at a little bit of fishing. Sundowners are enjoyed on the rocks before a delicious dinner is served under the stars. Overnight on the banks of the river in your already set up camp. Early morning we depart on the more exciting stretch of the river above the Augrabies Falls, to test your new found skills on some fun rapids like Rhino, Rollercoaster, Blind Faith and more. Your journey ends just above the Augrabies Waterfall, a short scenic walk takes you back to the Restaurant for a farewell lunch and some well-deserved showers.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Meet at the National Park reception at 13h00 sharp. Gear up and depart for the river. Enjoy an afternoon paddle appreciating the spectacular scenery and wildlife. Arrive at our camp to find a blazing fire and a comfortable camp. Enjoy sundowners on the banks on the river before a luxurious campfire dinner is served beneath a canopy of stars. All your clothing, camping gear is transported by vehicle to the campsite making life much easier.
Day 2: Wake up to an early breakfast before tackling the exciting Augrabies Rush. This stretch covers grade 2/3 rapids such as Rhino, Rollercoaster, Klipspringer, Blind Faith and the Cascades in the Augrabies Falls National Park. Take out at 12H00 at the National Park, enjoy a farewell lunch and showers.

MEALS: catering, ice, snacks, dinner, breakfast, lunch, teas and coffees.
GUIDES: professional APA trained guides.
TRANSPORT: to and from the river.
RIVER GEAR: rafts, buoyancy aids, helmets, paddles, watertight containers and safety equipment.
CAMPING GEAR: tents, mattresses, chairs, cooler boxes and all catering equipment.
YOU BRING
WET GEAR: sunblock, hat, sunglasses with tie on’s, sandals or track shoes, costume/shorts, long sleeved shirt, sarong and windbreaker, sleeping bag.
DRY GEAR: clothes, dry shoes or boots, environment friendly toiletries, torch and camera.
DRINKS: cans are best except for decent bottles of wine and bottled water.
Transfers can be arranged from Upington for fly-in or bus passengers.
